THIS IS CLOE'S NURSING STORY.
To me, it seemed like breastfeeding should be as natural as brushing your hair.
After giving birth I had 5 midwifes showing me different ways to breastfeed by pulling at my nipple and shoving it in my son's mouth to get him to latch on, making the situation intense and leaving me feeling anxious. But as soon as they walked out to do something I would relax and bub would just start to naturally feed perfectly!
Everybody tells you their stories of not having enough milk, and to eat this and that to keep supply up - but they forget to tell you about over supply and fast let down.
Every time my bub would feed it was like a pool party - both drenched in milk.
Eventually that all subsided and we finally worked it out. He is 8 months old now and we are still breastfeeding successfully (no more choking!) and it's truly the best thing.
